Storyline
Ewan McGregor is Jesus - and the satan - in an imagined chapter from his forty days of fasting and praying in the barren region. On his way out of the wasteland, Jesus struggles with the satan over the destiny of a family in crisis, atmosphere for himself a dramatic test.Movie Reviews
Here is seen that the director Rodrigo Garcia makes a fabulous transition of the story of the temptation of Jesus to the art-house outlook, cementing this "not intended for the Christian audiences". even though the artwork-house Biblical tale is nothing unusual, makes a unique flip of focusing it as a father-son story. that is where the failings flip out. Driving the focus too faraway from Jesus creates the tale unjustifiable to discover and insincere to depict. But here, the grandiose coming after Ewan McGregor's presence and the experience of warfare adds the adventure pleasurable. There might have been more intensity to explore from a simple scripture about Jesus' 40 days within the barren region, rather than including a father-son subplot. but from what became offered, Garcia makes an interesting piece to talk about.
